O, the clouds, they made you a fading light.
You shined so bright for six hours,
But the clouds,
Making you dim,
Dim! Until you’re no longer seen.
You’ve been of such great help to us,
The vitamin D you give us at dawn,
You dry our wears,
You brighten our day so that we can see,
No! You’re never lazy.
Do not leave us for six hours
But the clouds,
Making your light so dim
Dim! Until you’re no longer seen.
But you’ve been resisting them,
Your time at 6am is a
“no mess with me time”
Until they wrestle
And collide with themselves.
But they realize now that you’re untouchable.
They beat us with their fluid,
And wet our grounds,
We are innocent,
We are blameless,
Rise again at 6,
And dry out this fluid.
But the clouds,
Making your light dim
Dim! Until you’re no longer seen.
I gaze at my wrist,
My watch says it is about time you go again,
My watch says i will not see you for twelve hours,
My watch says it is time for you to leave as a fading light.
Ken, as you said you smiled reading one of my poem, this poem of yours made me smile through out too..so lovely ken..I can see your lovely heart in this..💗

[…] Ken, I’m sorry this acceptance post is so bloody late. I was really grateful for the nomination from you. Please take a peep at his blog https://kenslitepen.wordpress.com/ and here is a lush poem I found of his which very much fits with my blog vibe FADING LIGHT […]
